So the Jazz learn from their mistakes. The last meetup with the Mavs, they were up 16 points until Dirk came out in the 4th quarter to score 29 to lead the Mavs past the Jazz in a come from behind victory.
This time they learned though, they did a good job getting a lead and keeping it til the end, keeping Dirk with only 10 points in the 4th quarter. Good job Jazz, too bad next time we’ll hopefully come up with a few new tricks to add to your loss total.
The final score was 111-93. Deron Williams missed the previous two games with a wrist injury.

I was worried about this game and I had good reason. Don’t let the Jazz’s record fool you, they’re a good team and usually fair well against other good teams.
The Mavericks apparently played lousy the whole game until Dirk took control in the 4th quarter, setting the new team record for most points in a quarter with 29, the old record was 24 by Mark Aguirre, A record that stood for over 20 years as it was set back in 1984.
Dirk ended up with 40 points on the night, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. He drove to the basket and beat up on Okur, since Boozer was limited with 5 fouls in the 4th quarter. the only other Maverick that showed up was Kidd, with 19 points.
