According to Mark Cuban’s twitter, Ryan Hollins is now a Timberwolf as Cuban was telling others to wish him the best of luck with his new team.
Hollins was drafted from UCLA by Charlotte, played two seasons with the Bobcats before being traded to Dallas. Hollins has career averages of 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
Although the Mavericks have 7 days to match the offer which was not disclosed by the Twolves but I’m assuming by Cuban’s twitter, the Mavericks won’t be matching any offer to keep Hollins.
Personally I can see why the Mavericks won’t keep Hollins around since we acquired Gooden to back up Dampier in the low post but another side of me would want to keep him since this kid has potential from what we saw in the playoffs. I think with Dampier likely not being a Maverick after this season and Gooden not being a full time center, Hollins would have been appreciated in the coming years.
The best of luck to you Hollins, you will be missed and hopefully you get some more playing time with your new team.

Here we go again, right after Mark Cuban gets his SEC suit against him dismissed, Cuban is finding his way back to the courtroom, well, rather his lawyers. I’m sure being a lawyer for Cuban is very prosperous and keeps you busy nowadays.
Cuban has been accused of diverting profits from loans he took from the former owner Perot Jr. who still has a small stake in the Mavericks with his company Hillwood Center Partners.
Cuban was quoted as in saying that Perot Jr. is “trying to find nickels in the sofa cushion”. It’s reported that Perot Jr’s development company gave up its stake in the project to German investors in April, resulting in a reported loss of $100 million from the Victory Project that was established for the development around the arena for retail and office space.
Cuban also noted, “I have to tell you that the biggest mistake I made in buying the Mavs was in not completely buying out (Perot’s) interest.”
I guess we all learn from our mistakes, that’s why they’re made. Good luck Cuban in defending yourself. Hopefully this suit will be dismissed as well. I guess that’s why I’m glad I’m not rich, you’re always a target for lawsuits. If I were rich, I’d just buy an island where only my family and I live, enjoy life without people bothering me or suing me.
